& 4212015:Clarification regarding considerationof service rendered as Fireman, Loco Pilot (Shunting),ALP etc.,for coverageunder LARSGESSIn the meeting the Federation was advised that the matter is under examination. However, as the Constitutional validity of the LARSGESS Scheme has been challengedby the various Courts acrossIndia and the matter is presentlysubjudice, no further liberalizationin the Schemeis possibleat this stage. Moreover, the benefit of LARSGESS in GP 1900 was extended to only those categories who were identified for the Scheme in GP 1800. As such ESM/TCM/WTM GP 1900 are not an identified categoryand thus cannotbe brought underthe purview of the Scheme. In respect of Fireman, it is relevant to state that this is not a safety category. Moreover,this post is no longer in existenee.

In respectof Loco Pilot (Shunting) it is statedthat this is the post of Shunterwhich hasnot beenidentified for the schemeand this cannotbe broughtunder the purview of the Scheme. 5412015: Scheme for filling up of the posts of Loco Running Supervisors WesternRailway.
