FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Patriot Boot Camp Coming to Austin, Teaching Veterans to be Successful Entrepreneurs Weekend Seminar presented by Techstars set for June 35, 2016 in Austin, Texas BOULDER, Colo., (May 26, 2016 ) Patriot Boot Camp (PBC) will host a diverse group of fifty military veteran entrepreneurs in Austin, June 35. Entrepreneurs attending were selected from a group of competitive applicants and will travel from as far away as Stuttgart, Germany and New York. They will join the following veterans who are leading exciting startups: Krissa Watry is CoFounder and CEO of Dynepic®, Inc. and Dynepic Sports, LLC, where she is on a mission to inspire the next generation by safely connecting kids to the digital world. Dynepic’s first service called iOKids provides a secure single signon for kids to play online with their friends, an app for parents to manage where and who their kids engage with online, and provides mobile and IoT developers the tools to reach the under 13 population while meeting the Child Online Privacy Protection laws. Krissa holds a BS in Eng. Mech. from the USAF Academy, a MS in Mech. Eng. from MIT, served as a Captain in the US Air Force, and spent 10 years designing, launching, and commanding spaceflight hardware with multiple units launched into space. www.dynepic.com Agustin Gonzalez is an Air Force Veteran and CoFounder/CEO of Dallasbased Paranoid Fan, a social mapping app likened to "Waze for sports fans." The company was selected to pitch, and were finalists in the "Future Stadium" category, at the NFL/TechCrunch Super Bowl 50 Battlefield at Stanford University. Paranoid Fan will be providing social mapping for a number of NFL and NCAA teams in the upcoming season. www.paranoidfan.com Jim Rabuck is an Army Airborne Ranger and Infantry Officer who has focused his experience succeeding in complex, dynamic environments into an innovative logistics solution in travel technology, REKi Travel. REKi recently entered into its first partnership with a major online travel provider, signed its first 20 "Ambassadors,” won a pitch competition in Washington D.C., completed the Venture Hive Accelerator, and was accepted into Stanford GBS Ignite program for entrepreneurs. REKi will launch its beta version to subscribers this fall. www.reki.io This is the ninth installment of PBC presented by Techstars. The threeday event is designed to engage, inspire, and mentor veterans and spouses to start, innovate, and scale technologyfocused businesses. Active service members, veterans, and their spouses will receive free entrepreneurship education, mentoring, and networking. This will help them solidify a business idea, focus their fundraising pitch, and demonstrate progress in launching and growing a startup venture. Activities will take place at the Texas State Capitol Extension Building on June 3, and at Galvanize on June 45.
