PANTHER PASSES: Goal: • The overall goal is to find ways to reward students with Panther Passes on a daily basis. All teachers will have Panther Pass vouchers to give to students, and all students have an opportunity to earn it. Benefits Include: • See REWARD MENU Criteria: • Panther Passes may be given anytime a student is caught following the school-wide expectations. Examples: Going out of the way to help a student without being asked, working quietly during seatwork, actively participating in group projects, etc. Passes may also be obtained from Administration for Attendance. General Guidelines: • Panther Passes should NEVER be taken away from students once it has been earned. It is best to be selective about how and when they earn them rather than to take it away as punishment. • Students may not buy, sell, or give away coupons to other students. • Remember that this is a school-wide incentive; therefore, refrain from only giving out Panther Passes in the classroom setting. • Write first and last names on the back of Panther Passes to prevent them from being stolen or lost.

HMS “REWARD MENU” for STUDENT INCENTIVES

Exempt from ONE End of Semester Test: 30 Panther Passes Passes must be turned in to Mrs. Edwards by the due date. Student must have a “C” Average to exempt. A student may exempt more than one test if the appropriate amount of passes have been earned and saved. Pizza Party: 25 Panther Passes per student Students may see Mrs. Edwards to sign up and redeem passes. This will be offered at designated times during the year. *Student must have perfect attendance for the previous 2 weeks prior to signing up for the event* It will take place the last 30 minutes of the day.

Classmate Social: 20 Panther Passes Students may see Mrs. Edwards to sign up and redeem passes. This will be offered at designated times during the year. Socials will vary from icecream, popcorn, nachos, & soda, etc. *Student must have perfect attendance for the previous 2 weeks prior to signing up for the event*

Morning Announcements: 15 Panther Passes If a student is interested in redeeming Panther Passes to do the morning announcements he/she should let his/her homeroom teacher know and the teacher will e-mail Mrs. Edwards. Mrs. Edwards will then coordinate with the student as to when this will take place and take the Panther Passes from the student.

Athletic Event Pass: 15 Panther Passes This item is only available at HMS home events. Student must give Panther Passes to Mrs. Edwards in the morning at school before the event takes place. Patio Pass: 15 Panther Passes per student Used only on a day when it is not raining or wet outside. Student must give Panther Passes to the teacher they have for lunch prior to going to the patio to eat. A staff member would need to be outside to supervise. Students are to remain seated at the tables while outside. All trash must be collected and disposed of when coming inside. *Student must have perfect attendance for the previous 2 weeks prior to signing up for the event*

Extra Library Time: 15 Panther Passes Students may request a pass to the Library during their electives period for 20 minutes. Panther Passes must be given to the teacher in advance. Based on library availability and scheduling. Eat lunch with a Friend in Lunchroom: 10 Panther Passes Student must give Panther Passes to the teacher and get teacher’s approval before sitting with a friend at a table other than the one assigned. Students must follow all lunchroom expectations while at the friend’s table. Student must leave with his/her regular class.

Prizes: 5+ Panther Passes Students may see Mrs. Edwards at designated times and exchange Panther Passes for items that have been collected in the Treasure Box. Lunch Line Fast Pass: 3 Panther Passes

Students may redeem passes to the teacher in order to be the first student served when the class goes to lunch. Pencil Purchase: 2 Panther Passes Students may see Mrs. Edwards at designated times and exchange Panther Passes for trendy and decorative pencils.

Locker Pass: 2 Panther Passes Some teachers may allow a student to redeem Panther Passes in order to go to their locker to get school-related items which they need for class purposes. Student must ask the teacher if he/she can go back to his/her locker to get said item(s) and must then pay the Panther Passes to the teacher. Prize Drawing: 1 Panther Passes Instead of redeeming their Panther Passes for the above reward items, students may have their Panther Passes entered into periodic drawings for a prize. Students can enter as many Panther Passes as they wish thus increasing their odds of winning.

Bring Your Own Device: 10 Panther Passes Students may redeem passes to have the freedom to use their devices in the gym for a designated week. Students will receive a colored arm band that they must have to sit in the designated area.

Fourth Nine Weeks: “Muffins with Mom Day” - 20 Panther Passes Students will invite their moms to have muffins and juice. We will have a makeup session to gain tips for healthy skincare and how to apply basic makeup. The girls will have an opportunity to win products during a drawing.

Fourth Nine Weeks: 20 Panther Passess The boys will have “Doughnuts with Dad”. They will have doughnuts and juice, and invite their dads along with the students from HHS Basketball Team to share some pointers about the game.
