Pomona Vocal Music PAH requirements Participating in the PAH Vocal Music Program is so much more than just singing in choir. It is participating in our arts community at Pomona as well as in the Denver Metro Area. Beginning with the 201516 school year, there will be arts participation requirements in addition to the academic requirements, in order to continue in the Vocal PAH program the next year. Students must earn the required number of points each year, in order to continue in the program. There will be different opportunities to earn these points. Some of the opportunities may also be used for letting points as well as extra credit in class. Please see the point requirements for each grade level as well as the list of point opportunities below. Academic requirements for all grade levels: ● Must be passing all classes ● Must maintain an A or B in PAH specific classes ● Must be enrolled in an Arts class each semester ● Must uphold the rules and regulations for attendance/behavior/tardy policies Arts Participation requirements ● Freshman year : Students are required to earn 60 points ● Sophomore year : Students are required to earn 90 points, including Sophomore meeting with PAH advisor ● Junior year : Students are required to earn 110 points, including Junior recital ● Senior year: Students are required to earn 120 points AND complete the Capstone to earn their PAH status on their transcript. ***As a Vocal Music PAH major it is HIGHLY encouraged to start or continue to take private lessons to be successful in this program.

**Students are required to attend two performances outside the Pomona Vocal Music Department each year. One MUST be a vocal music performance for another school (elementary, middle or high school). The second can be any cultural music performance such as a band/orchestra concert, choir concert, musical (other school, Denver Center, Arvada Center). Rock concerts DO NOT count. These may also be used for extra credit in class, as well as letting points. ***PAH events include the PAH Picnic, Back to School Night, Showcase, PAH Auditions for freshmen, PAH welcome reception, The attached point sheet, as well as supporting documentation is due by April 15.
