In terms of number of students for events/ recruitments, AIESEC in Chennai has always retained the number 1 position among all the other Local Chapters of AIESEC in our country. In the year 2010 we attracted a crowd of 500 college going students for our events Empower and Youth to Business. In addition to that we had 700 students who wanted to be a
part of this organization in the entire year. AIESEC Chennai also conducted a ‘Peace March’ and we were featured in various news channels throughout the year. In the year 2011 we attracted close to 1200 college going students for our events Empower and Youth to Business. In addition to that we had close to 2500 students applying to become a member of AIESEC Chennai. This year, we look at impacting and creating awareness among 3000 college going kids and we’ve had 1900 people applying for membership in the first month of the year itself.
