Topeka Joins Nation in Day of Prayer Local Observances Mark National Day of Prayer on May 2 Hundreds gathered in the capitol rotunda in Topeka to observe the 62nd annual National Day of Prayer as part of an all-day prayer effort on Thursday, May 2. Worship and prayer continued through the day from the Old Supreme Court Room as teams from around the area went non-stop from 8 am until 5 pm. The only interruption was to gather at the statewide noon observance in the rotunda which featured pastors, legislators, Governor Brownback and others.

The citywide evening observance took place at Central Park Christian Church in Topeka. The theme for the service was “Clean Hands, Pure Heart,” a reference to Psalm 24. Members of the Christian community took part in worship, corporate prayer, and small group prayer, led by pastors and leaders representing various ethnic groups and traditions. The worship was led by a multi-church, multicultural team. The National Day of Prayer is supported in prayer by Operation Rolling Thunder.

Churches Pray ORT Year ‘Round Phase Two of ORT is a continuation of Phase One-- the prayer emphasis that leads up to the National Day of Prayer each year. Many churches choose to continue to take a day each month to pray in unity for the city, state, and nation through ORT. The Fundamentals of Islam, Sharia, & the Muslim Brotherhood From Donna Lippoldt Culture Shield Network
The Culture Shield Network sponsored The Fundamentals of Islam, Sharia, & the Muslim Brotherhood, presented by Kirk Sours with Representative Peggy Mast on Sunday, June 9, in Wichita. How to Reach Muslims for Christ was also presented by Phillis Setchell. As Islam follows its natural course of colonization worldwide, Kansas is not immune from the settlement plan outlined by the Muslim Brotherhood. In order to understand the growing presence of Islam from Wichita to Manhattan, from Kansas City to Dodge City, Kansans need to understand the fundamentals of Islam itself. On Marriage, Inevitability Is a Choice We Can Reject Ryan T. Anderson, Heritage Foundation - 6-6-13 Consider some facts about the polls that matter most: elections. Citizens have gone to the polls to vote about marriage in 35 states. The truth about marriage has prevailed 32 of those 35 times. In only three states have citizens voted to redefine marriage--all in the 2012 election--and in each state the truth about marriage far outperformed the Republican presidential candidate. For example, in liberal Maryland, Mitt Romney received 36 percent of the vote, while marriage received 48 percent. Marriage is founded on the anthropological truth that men and women are different and complementary, the biological fact that the union of a man and woman also creates new life, and the social reality that children need a mom and a dad. If those on the left really believed that the redefinition of marriage was "inevitable," they wouldn't be asking the Supreme Court to do their bidding--they would respect the democratic process. Laws that reflect the truth about marriage are constitutional. And the Court should respect the constitutional authority of citizens and their elected officials to make marriage policy--not issue an activist ruling redefining marriage by judicial fiat.
A Message from ORT Founder Tim Tayor America is embroiled in many public scandals today! The Washington Post has consolidated some of these in Mr. Obama and his scandals. It lists among other things, how the "Justice Department" leaked documents to attack a whistle blower who exposed the "Fast and Furious" debacle, the IRS targeting conservative political and religious groups, the Justice Department violating the First Amendment, snooping into Associated Press and Fox News reporters seeking to intimidate, the Benghazi atrocity which is worse than Watergate, and. . .the list goes on. I submit that this is the fruit of more than 50 years of a growing rejection of the Lord and His moral commands. In 1963, prayer was banned by our Supreme Court, and one year later the court banned Bible reading which was followed as school after school removed the 10 commandments. We are seeing the fruit of a generation who rejected the Lord legally and personally. We should not be surprised by the beating truth is taking. What is the solution? How do we reverse this trend? Repent! Turn to the Lord. Our heavenly Father is loving, kind, forgiving and does not desire that any perish (2 Pet. 3:9). Build a personal relationship with the Lord. Get a Bible and learn about Him. Pray and talk to Him daily. Get involved in a good local church. Allow this relationship with the Lord to begin to transform you and your character. Don't hide within the walls of a Church building, get out into society. Love God, show mercy, love truth and speak it. Don't hide your light under a basket, but let your light shine before men that they may see your good works. Join with me in praying for men and women of character that can be sent into every area of society.
