Peggy Junkin & Diane Klamer - Lead Volunteers
Hours: 9:30 am – 12:00 pm (1st, 2nd, 3rd Tuesday each month) 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (One evening a month) __________________________________________________________________ As we begin the second quarter of this year, we wish to keep all our supporting congregations and community groups informed of the services we are able to provide with your donations of food, clothing, and funds. We will be continuing our regular Tuesday morning schedule through the summer months this year, providing both food and children’s clothing. We wish to extend a big Thank You to the Principal’s Multicultural Advisory Board at Sanderlin IB World School for “Soxtober,” a school-wide sock drive that collected 900 pair of socks for OA. Special drives like this are greatly appreciated! We could not provide the services we do without our faithful volunteers who are at Operation Attack three mornings and one evening each month – and those who assist in the many tasks that must be done “behind the scenes.” Interested people may stop by during our service hours to learn more about our volunteer needs. Volunteers Needed We are still in need of one or two volunteers who would like to manage the preparation of layettes provided to mothers within a month before or after a birth. Items are donated or purchased for the layettes. We have a one-time need for Spring Cleaning the OA space and undertaking a painting project. This would be a good project for a couple of people or a group. Please contact Diane or Peggy at 822-1187 if you are interested in assisting with this. Clothing Needs We are currently in need of summer clothing for girls, size 3T through size 5T. School Uniforms – Boys slacks/shorts, khaki or navy, size 5 -16 Girls slacks/shorts/skirts/skorts, khaki or navy, size 5-16, teen 7&9 Polo shirts without logos for both boys and girls, size 5-16, teen S,M,L (white, navy, hunter green, maroon, sky blue, red) Food Needs We can always use canned fruit, soup, vegetables, meat, pasta, rice, beans, peanut butter, bread and cereal. Speakers available We would be happy to speak to your group about Operation Attack.
