We’ve had so much going on over the last two weeks! Last Wednesday we welcomed the Dallas Mavericks mascots, Champ & Mavs Man, to kick off Red Ribbon week. They talked about making good choices and about Motivation, Activation, Vision, and Solution. Then on Friday, we had a huge turnout for Muffins in the morning! Thank you so much for your support of all our events. We’d like to congratulate and thank our Volunteers of the Month: Nikki Henderson, Ryan Miller & Terry Smith as well as our Sunshine lunch winner Kimberly Robinson. These fabulous volunteers stepped up in a big way during Bike Safety Rodeo and all throughout the month of October. Minshew truly has the best volunteers in the universe!
If you were at Colt Roundup this morning, you got to see a picture of the brand new Gaga Pit we hope to install at Minshew with proceeds from our Boosterthon fundraiser. We’re kicking that off next week, and hope you will support our goal to fund outdoor equipment including a more durable Gaga pit, tether ball poles, and a Buddy bench! Marvelous Minshew Families, Can you believe that we have reached the end of the first quarter and Thanksgiving break is just around the corner? The teachers and students have been busy bees in the classrooms all over the building. We frequently tweet about what’s happening, so follow us @inetradn and @Mandy_Bourland to see what we are tweeting about using #MinshewGRIT. The Minshew staff is looking forward to having you on campus on Monday for parent-teacher conferences! You will be able to access your child’s report card on the Home Access Center (HAC) on Monday as well. Please click the “forgot password” link on the HAC login screen if you can’t find your password. Book Character Day is on Tuesday, Oct. 31st! Your child can dress up as a book character to celebrate the love of reading! Be sure to follow the guidelines for kid-friendly costumes that have been shared. Check out our Facebook page and Twitter accounts for pictures of the fun and creativity! The Boosterthon Fun Run is back! We’ll kick it off on October 31st with a pep rally and conclude with the always-awesome Fun Run on ** 9th. The fabulous Minshew November PTA supports our school in so many ways with the funds raised from Boosterthon. Keep an eye out for communication from your teachers about the time that your grade level will be running and make plans to join us! Thank you for your support and all that you contribute to this absolutely amazing learning community. Without our parent partnerships, we could not be the “best school in the universe” because it takes engaged students, staff, AND parents to reach our goals!

Boosterthon kicks off next week! This is our Fall Fundraiser, and we’ll start it off with a pep rally on October 31st. The Fun Run will happen November 9th. If you’d like to help out at that please go to our Facebook page to click on the sign up. Our goal is to raise
$13,000 to put toward a new (more durable) Gaga Pit and flooring for that as well as additional outdoor equipment such as tetherball poles and a Buddy Bench. Please help us! We are asking all families to sign up at FunRun.com; the school access code is 388-766. Thank you for your support!
Congratulations to Kimberly Robinson our Sunshine Lunch Winner! The Reflections deadline is almost upon us! We had a wonderful workshop last week and your amazing projects have already started to come in!
