Ottawa Catholic School Board appoints Trustee (Zone 4 – Barrhaven/Gloucester-South Nepean) December 11, 2014

Ottawa - The Ottawa Catholic School Board of Trustees appointed Spencer Warren as the Trustee for Zone 4 – Barrhaven/Gloucester-South Nepean. Justice Paulina Brecher administered the oath of office and the oath of allegiance. Mr. Warren was a candidate in the October municipal election as well as Andrea Steenbakkers and Greg Deernsted. Both Mr. Deernsted and Mr. Warren were interviewed by the Board of Trustees at a Special Board meeting Thursday December 11. Mr. Warren has a long history of involvement as a fundraiser for CHEO. He has received the United Way Community Builders award and the Hydro Community service award. “It was great we had such highly qualified candidates to choose from. We are pleased to have Spencer Warren join the Board and look forward to working with him. He brings a wealth of experience to the Board with a strong background in community participation and involvement in our schools,” said Chairperson Elaine McMahon.
