Local media are welcomed at any of our schools to witness the dramatic presentations and hear the personal stories of veterans Nov. 8, 9, 11 and 12. Thursday November 8, 2012 Lester B Pearson Catholic High School, 2072 Jasmine Cr., Gloucester, 9 a.m. AND 10:20 a.m., CafGym, students, cadets, band and ESL program students welcome Admiral (Ret), the Hon. Friday November 9, 2012 St. Francis Xavier High School, 3740 Spratt Road, Gloucester, 8:30 a.m. AND 9:45 a.m., Cafeteria, families welcome, honoured guest: Major (Ret) Megan Whelan reading the Act of Remembrance, Cadets greeting visitors and forming the Colour Guard, presenting the wreath and sounding the Last Post. Sunday November 11, 2012 The Ottawa Catholic School Board Children’s Choir will be singing at the National Military Cemetary/Beechwood Cemetary at 11 a.m., 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. The Ottawa Catholic School Board Chamber Choir will be singing at the Canadian War Museum tribute ceremony at 11 a.m., 1 Vimy Place, Ottawa. Monday November 12, 2012 St. Gregory Elementary School, 148 Meadowlands Drive, Nepean is having the whole school display Remembrance Day themed art. At 10:40 a.m. the school is having an assembly in the gym for a Flanders Field tableau and letters in the first person from soldiers at war will be read by students.
