Monthly Project: Character Book Report. You will be presenting your book report to the class on October 31st and dressing up like the main character from your book while you present. You will do a portion of this project each week. 1. Finish your book report presentation. 2. Finish your costume. (remember it can be very simple, please do not spend a lot of money on a costume) 3. Practice presenting your book report. 4. Be ready to wear your costume and present your book report to the class on Wednesday, October 31st. Don’t forget to bring your book to school on that day too. Monthly Project: Turkey Disguise. You will be presenting your turkey to the class on November 16th. There will be no homework the week of November 19th. You will do a portion of this project this week and next week. The turkey wants to avoid the farmers and hunters. He decides to create a disguise. 1. Create a disguise for the turkey. 2. Brainstorm a story to tell about what happened. Think about: What is your character (the turkey) like? What is it’s name? Where does your story take place? Monthly Project: You will be writing a “How To Recipe” on how to make something simple (peanut butter and crackers, pudding, ants on a log, or anything you can make with a few simple ingredients). You can create a new simple recipe for others to make and name it after you, do a holiday family recipe or a favorite family snack! You will be reading your “How To Recipe” to your table group for them to follow so you want your directions to be very clear. You will need to bring in the ingredients for your table (5 people). Your recipe needs to be a non baking recipe because we will not have access to ovens, stoves or microwaves.

Decide what you will make this week and what ingredients you will need.
