ED TECH NEWS “It Takes A Valley!”
District News Clever, not being so “clever” Have you seen this icon on your school website? Peachjar is a digital flyer system that delivers district-approved flyers to parents’ inboxes (email addresses in PowerSchool) and posts them on all of our schools’ websites. This eflyer system will not only cut expenses related to paper copying, but will also save on our use of paper in general! No more copying thousands of flyers regularly, yay!
Common Sense Media Elementary: Be on the lookout! You will receive a Google form asking for your feedback on the Common Sense Media lessons you have taught your class(es). If you haven’t taught these lessons, please make sure you get them in your plan book soon! Thank you!
Enjoy Thanksgiving Break!
Clever is a single sign on App for our students to access Lexia, Dreambox, and Typing Agent. The goal of using Clever is to allow for students to sign in one time and automatically be logged into the three applications. However, we are having difficulties with this. In the meantime, keep signing into the applications separately until we come up with a solution to get this running correctly. Stay tuned for more information!
Lexia and Dreambox and Typing Agent, Oh My! In the transition of having an Ed Tech Coordinator, it only makes sense that Ed Tech software programs be managed by the Ed Tech Coordinator! Jen is now overseeing Lexia, Dreambox, and Typing Agent (all elementary/middle school programs). If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Jen!

Like the new format of our Ed Tech Newsletter? It was made using Google Slides! If you are interested in making your newsletter using slides, or having your students create a newsletter to show their learning, check out this video to get started! Enjoy! GIF stands for: Graphics Interchange Format, it is a graphic image that moves. Check out how to create your own GIF here! Or, ask your Ed Tech Coach! The first 5 people to send me their favorite GIF via this form, will receive a hot/cold beverage of their choice(non-alcoholic of course! ) hand delivered to their classroom/office!
