National Red Ribbon Week Wolf Branch Elementary Wellness Week Oct 24-28 National Red Ribbon Week is a week dedicated to prevention of drug abuse and encouraging drug-free, healthy lifestyles.
Wolf Branch Elementary School would like this also to be “Wellness Week”. We will be emphasizing healthy choices: physically, mentally and socially. We encourage everyone to participate in our school activities as well as discussing it at home.
Let’s show good character by being Drug Free! Monday: Sock it to drugs! Wear Crazy socks to show how WB can “sock it” to drugs!
Tuesday: Dress like a superhero! Show loyalty and respect for your school and yourself. Remember to eat Healthy foods.
Wednesday: We are a “team” against drugs Wear your favorite Wolf Branch Wolverine Gear!
Thursday: I am a health nut/nerd and say NO to drugs. Dress in your nerdiest clothing:)
Friday:
We are “too bright for drugs”
Wear bright colored clothing, shoes, and accessories.

2:00-2:45 Party, 3:00 dismissal Since this year is a full day of school we are asking for your help when deciding on costumes. Students should bring costumes to school that they can put on by themselves. (Staff will be available to help the little ones.)
Costumes with look alike weapons are prohibited. The parade route will be led by the Swansea Police and Fire Department and will be as follows: ●Assemble in drop off lane ●Proceed North on Twin Lake ●Turn left on Leawood ●North on Big Bend ●Left on Deerfield ●Left on Cunningham ●Left on Leighigh ●Right on Big Bend ●East on Leawood ●Right on Twin Lake and return to school
Rotary Club Student of the Month
Jazmynn Gates We are now in the fifth year of a partnership with the Swansea Rotary Club as they honor a student from Wolf Branch Middle School and High Mount on a monthly basis. The student and his/her parents are honored at a monthly breakfast meeting at Barcom World Headquarters. Again this year, Outback Steakhouse is co-sponsoring the event.
Jazmynn Gates is the WBMS honoree for October. Jazmynn was honored at the monthly breakfast meeting at Barcom Headquarters on October 20th. She received the honor for her leadership, service, and academic achievement. In addition to the award from the Rotary Club, Jazmynn received a gift certificate from Outback Steakhouse.
Congratulations to our September Box Top Contest Winners! The winning homerooms were

The next submission deadline is Monday, Oct 31st REMEMBER - - Your class will get an extra 100 added to their total submission if ALL your Box Tops are counted and separated into bags of 50. (If you have one ‘leftover’ bag that does not have 50, just label it with the number it contains). Here’s an added bonus for the October submissions - - In addition to the extra 100 points added to their submission, every home room who submits at least 300 Box Tops and sorts/counts/ separates ALL their Box Tops (i.e. baggies of 50 each) will be entered in a drawing for a “cool” BONUS prize - - free Wendy’s Jr. Frosty coupons for the whole class!
Those extra points could make the difference for your class to win! Keep those “Labels for Learning” and Coke Rewards coming in too…but please remember to keep these submissions in a separate baggie from the Box Tops.

BAND INFORMATION & UPCOMING EVENTS Sat, October 22nd, 6 - 10 p.m. Band Booster night at Eckert’s Fun Farm in Millstadt You pay admission to the fun farm and the band boosters pay for bonfire sites, hot dogs, s’mores and water. Come early to play at the fun farm during the day, and hang around at night with the band kids and families. Eckert’s is pet friendly.
