Business from Previous Meetings A) Play Structure/Fundraising Committee (delivered by R. Watson):  The Fundraising Committee met on Thursday, October 27 to discuss fundraising ideas.  C. Burke outlined a number of grants the school can apply for to help fund the play structure. Many of the deadlines have passed to received grants for this year. The Fundraising Committee will begin work to apply for grants for next year.  In order to apply for grants, we need to put together a business plan.  R. Watson indicated that he would ideally like the business plan to be complete by the end of November. We also need the business plan to proceed with finding corporate sponsorship.  A representative from Dynamo Playgrounds will be at the school o November 17 to measure the playground area.  The date for the Trivia Night is yet to be confirmed. 1

  

R. Watson asked Council if we 100 per cent want to proceed with the play structure. Council indicated that it supports fundraising for a play structure for the school yard. R. Watson indicated the goal is to have something in the ground by September 2017.
