No. MIS-1L|2OLAC.R.77|A-2.-In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to clause (e) of section 3 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30 of 2013), the Government of Maharashtra hereby notifies that in relation to acquisition of land in respect of a public purpose, as defined in clause (za) of section 3 of the said Act, in a District for an area not exceeding 5OOhectors, the Collector of such District shall be deemed to be the appropriate Government, for the purposes of the said Act.

No. MIS-1 L|%OLAC.R.7 7| A-2.-Whereas, the Government of Maharasht ra uide Government Notification, Revenue and Forests Department, No.-*-, (hereinafter dated 1}1s-x referred to as "the said. notifrcation") issued in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to clause (e) of section_3 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Tbansparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30 of 2013), has notified that in relation to acquisition of land in respect of a public puipose, as defrned in clause (za) of section 3 of the said Act, in a District for an area not exceeding 500 hectors, the Collector of such District shall be deemed to be the appropriate Government, for the purposes of the said Act; And whereas, the Collector of -* District being the appropriate Government in view of the said notifrcation, intends to acquire the land more particularly described in Schedule appended hereto fo1 a public purpose namely -*(here specify the details of the public purpose for which the land is to be acquired); And whereqs, in view of the provisions regarding conducting preliminary investigation for deterrnination of social impact and public purpose obtaining in Chapter II of the said Act, it is necessary for the appropriate Government to make preliminary investigation for determination of social impact and public purpose; And whereas, sub-section (/) of section 4 of the said Act provides that whenever the appropriate Government intends to acquire land for a public purpose, it shall consult the concerned Panchayaf Municipality or Municipal Corporation, as the case may be, at village level or ward level, in the affected area and carry out a Social Impact Assessment study in consultation with them, in such manner and from such date as may be specified by such Government by notification; Now, Therefore, the Collector of -*--District being the appropriate Government in view of the said notification, hereby notifies that the Social Impact AsJeisment Study shall be (here specify the date) by -x carried out with effect from -*'(here specify the _nameof the lgency who will conduct the study) in the affected aiea, in the manner prescribed 1n the Right to Fair Compensation and Ttansparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Maharashtra) Rules, 20L4.
