For publication in the 1st edition: Deadline is 25th March, 2016 For publication in future editions: Rolling Submissions accepted all year round The Centre for Research in International Law (CRIL), a student-run body at National Law Institute University Bhopal (NLIU) and the official Bhopal Chapter of the International Law Students Association (ILSA), is now accepting submissions for the NLIU e-Journal of International Law.

About the Journal The NLIU e-Journal of International Law is a bi-annual online journal which publishes scholarly articles in the field of international law. It seeks to secure collaboration between students, research scholars and professionals interested in international law, from all over the world.

The Curators Patron-in-chief: Hon’ble Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, Judge, Madhya Pradesh High Court Justice Sharma currently serves a Permanent Judge of the Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Prior to this appointment, he practised on both the civil and constitutional sides of the Jabalpur Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court for over twenty years. He is well respected for his proficiency in dealing with writ petitions.

Executive Patron: Prof. (Dr.) S. S. Singh, Director, NLIU Before joining NLIU, Prof. (Dr.) Singh taught as the Professor of Justice and Administration at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi. He has been a Member of the Working Group on Consumer Protection constituted by the Planning Commission, Government of India. He has written 13 Books, 13 Book Reviews and more than 80 Research Papers in different areas of Public Law.

Editor-in-chief: Dr. Raka Arya, Assistant Professor, NLIU Dr. Arya serves as a board member of Transparency International and a member of the International Jurist Association. She has published various articles on issues such as Electoral Reforms, French Nuclear Policy, etc.

Submission Guidelines Submissions are invited for the following genuine, original and unpublished manuscripts within the broad theme of International Law:  Articles (6,000 – 8,000 words): The article must be a comprehensive and in depth analysis of the problem dealt with, including contributions by the author.  Essays (4,000 – 6,000 words): The essay must deal with a specific issue, and must contain arguments for or/and against the existing set up.  Judgment Analyses (2,000 – 4,000 words): The analysis must be a comment on a recent judgment, discussing the views expressed, the relevance of the judgment and the opinions of the author. All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:  Citation Standards: Submissions must use only footnotes as a form of citation. The citations must conform to the standards laid down in The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (19th Edition, 2010). Substantive footnoting is permissible.  Abstract: All submissions must include an abstract of 250-350 words.  Parameters of Evaluation: Submissions would be evaluated on the parameters of contemporary relevance, contribution to knowledge, clarity and logic in analysis, language, methodology of research and originality.  Co-authorship: Submissions must not be written by more than 2 authors.  Format: All submissions must be made in .docx format.
