Waverly Super-Clean Sweep – Thank You! The super clean sweep held in April to spruce up the pond area and our parks was a great success. Remember keeping our community clean is not limited to our super clean sweep events. Please help to keep or neighborhood beautiful by picking up trash and litter when out and about in the neighborhood.
Resident of the Year – Carol Allen We don’t formally have a resident of the year, but if we did, Carol Allen would win it hands down. Carol is a long time resident of Waverly Hills and a former WHNA board member. Carol takes great pride in our neighborhood and goes out of her way to make sure the entrances to the neighborhood are beautifully landscaped. If you see Carol, please thank her for her outstanding service to the neighborhood.
Waverly Email Distribution If you are new to the neighborhood or haven’t signed up yet, join the WHNA email list. This “announcement only” list is the official email list used by the WHNA Board. We use it strictly to inform residents about neighborhood-related events such as lost dogs, missing packages, suspicious activity, upcoming neighborhood events, etc. If you wish to be added, please send a note with your house address to Pam Flynn at
[email protected] or call her at 383-1238.

Food Truck Mondays The food truck Monday events are held on the last Monday of every month. We feature several different Tallahassee Food Truck Association trucks a month to ensure that you have a rotating variety of cuisines that offer fast and friendly service. This is a great opportunity to hang out with neighbors and friends while enjoying some of the best trucks in the City.
Project Share – Neighbors Helping Neighbors Do you know someone in the neighborhood who meets one or more of the following?
Sixty years of age or older
Disabled or handicapped to the point of not being able to maintain a sufficient family income
Has had income temporarily interrupted due to illness or injury, or other significant occurrence beyond the applicant’s control, including sudden loss or significant decrease in income resulting from natural disaster.
Has a verifiable medical condition or health hazard that will be aggravated or caused by loss of utility services.
When the summer heat or the winter cold hits Tallahassee it can be an extremely difficult time for some local citizens. Fortunately, the City has a program that allows you to help those truly in need. For more information on Project Share or if you know of anyone needing assistance please contact Utility Customer Operations at 891.4YOU (4968) or http://www.talgov.com/you/you-products-home-project-share.aspx
Neighborhood Crime Report Leon County Sheriff’s Office has seen an increase in vehicle burglaries in northeast Tallahassee neighborhoods over the past few months. Detectives have noted that the majority of the reports involve suspects entering unlocked vehicles and removing valuables. As always, if you see something suspicious, call TPD at 891-4200. Our new Community Relations TPD Officer is Nick Lowe. To submit an online nonemergency related report immediately, visit http://www.talgov.com/tpd/OnlineCrimeReporting.aspx
Mowing Reminder Summer is right around the corner and it is time to get out and enjoy the nice weather with a little yard work. When mowing your yard it is important to mow the City right-of-way in front of your house, as the City will only come out twice a season to cut this area. Thank you for keeping our neighborhood looking great!
