Calf/Lamb Day Registrations Please check out page 4 of this newsletter for all the information you need to register for Calf/Lamb Day. Absent from School When your child is absent from school, we are required to categorise their absence under specific codes. If no reason is given, or if you haven’t contacted the school, then we are required to mark your child as truant. Can you please make sure to give us a brief explanation why your child is absent from school when letting us know on the answer machine or via text. Taranaki Interschool Cross Country We have taken the top runners from the MT SPA Cross Country last week for the Taranaki Interschool Cross Country competition in Hawera on Wednesday next week. The team is up on the website. We need transport to get the students to Hawera. If you are available please be at school at 9.30am. We want to be at the showgrounds by 10am to give the runners a chance to check out the course. The first race (9 years old and under - girls) starts at 11am, with the last race (13 year old boys) at 1.15pm. Prizegiving Trophies Can all trophies from the 2016 school prize giving please be returned to school before the holidays. Camp Costs The costs have been set for the Year 6/7 camps: Year 6 $85 & Year 7 $130. The Year 8 camp costs will be confirmed at the camp meeting on Thursday 26th October, but as an estimate this will be between $300-350 per student. Can all Year 8 parents please pop this date in their calendar. The meeting will start at 5pm. Sports Uniforms As there are no more Taranaki Trophy games, can all uniforms please be washed and returned to school. Can all netball uniforms be returned as we haven’t got a date organised for Kissick Eraio, and it would be great to have all uniforms back in by the holidays. Reminder texts have been sent out for all basketball, netball and the Crowley Cup uniforms that are still outstanding. Can all parents please have a check at home and send any uniforms back to school ASAP. Touch The teams will be up next week on the school website under the sports tab. Games start on Tuesday 17th October. Once we have the draw we will post this on the same page as the teams on the website. Daylight Savings On Sunday morning remember to set your clocks forward an hour. Nga mihi nui kia koutou, Jarad Chittenden, Principal
