All entries need to be in by TOMORROW so that the PTA can get things sorted over the holidays. Prizegiving Trophies Can all trophies from the 2016 school prize giving please be returned to school TOMORROW. Taranaki Interschool Cross Country The weather was great yesterday for the cross country. Well done to the 11 year old girls team who took out the relay trophy for their race. Sports Uniforms As there are no more Taranaki Trophy games, can all uniforms please be washed and returned to school TOMORROW. Can all netball uniforms be returned as we haven’t got a date organised for Kissick Eraio, and it would be great to have all uniforms back in by the holidays. Touch The teams are up on the school website under the sports tab. Games start on Tuesday 17th October in Opunake. Once we have the draw we will post this on the same page as the teams on the website. Thank you to the parents who have put their hands up to take a team. We have also put a Year 7/8 team into the Hawera touch competition which start on Thursday 19th at the TSB Hub. Once we have the draw we will pop it up on the website. School Accounts Accounts have been sent home with students today. These include Year 6/7 camps, but it excludes the Year 8 camp fee as this will be confirmed at the camp meeting on Thursday 26th October. Camp/trip fees need to be paid before camp/trip dates, with all other accounts paid by 1st December. Year 4/5 Trip We are mixing it up a little this year for the Year 4/5‘s end of year camp. Instead of the students having an overnight stay at school the teachers have organised a day trip to Whanganui on Friday 24th November. Forms have been sent home today with more details. The Year 4/5 students will have an overnight camp next year and every second year after. Taranaki Bulls at Farmlands Opunake As part of a current promotion, Farmlands in Opunake will be hosting some of the Taranaki Bulls players in store on Thursday 5th October from 11.30am – 12.30pm. There will be games for the kids, free posters and balls to be handed out, along with a free BBQ. All funds raised will go to the referee’s association.
