Calf/Lamb​ ​Day​ ​Registrations  Please​ ​check​ ​out​ ​page​ ​4​ ​of​ ​this​ ​newsletter​ ​for​ ​all​ ​the​ ​information​ ​you​ ​need​ ​to​ ​register​ ​for  Calf/Lamb​ ​Day.​ ​All​ ​entries​ ​need​ ​to​ ​be​ ​in​ ​by​ ​TOMORROW​ ​so​ ​that​ ​the​ ​PTA​ ​can​ ​get​ ​things  sorted​ ​over​ ​the​ ​holidays.    Prizegiving​ ​Trophies  Can​ ​all​ ​trophies​ ​from​ ​the​ ​2016​ ​school​ ​prize​ ​giving​ ​please​ ​be​ ​returned​ ​to​ ​school​ ​TOMORROW.    Taranaki​ ​Interschool​ ​Cross​ ​Country  The​ ​weather​ ​was​ ​great​ ​yesterday​ ​for​ ​the​ ​cross​ ​country.​ ​Well​ ​done​ ​to​ ​the​ ​11​ ​year​ ​old​ ​girls  team​ ​who​ ​took​ ​out​ ​the​ ​relay​ ​trophy​ ​for​ ​their​ ​race.    Sports​ ​Uniforms  As​ ​there​ ​are​ ​no​ ​more​ ​Taranaki​ ​Trophy​ ​games,​ ​can​ ​all​ ​uniforms​ ​please​ ​be​ ​washed​ ​and  returned​ ​to​ ​school​ ​TOMORROW.    Can​ ​all​ ​netball​ ​uniforms​ ​be​ ​returned​ ​as​ ​we​ ​haven’t​ ​got​ ​a​ ​date​ ​organised​ ​for​ ​Kissick​ ​Eraio,​ ​and  it​ ​would​ ​be​ ​great​ ​to​ ​have​ ​all​ ​uniforms​ ​back​ ​in​ ​by​ ​the​ ​holidays.    Touch  The​ ​teams​ ​are​ ​up​ ​on​ ​the​ ​school​ ​website​ ​under​ ​the​ ​sports​ ​tab.​ ​Games​ ​start​ ​on​ ​Tuesday​ ​17th  October​ ​in​ ​Opunake.​ ​Once​ ​we​ ​have​ ​the​ ​draw​ ​we​ ​will​ ​post​ ​this​ ​on​ ​the​ ​same​ ​page​ ​as​ ​the​ ​teams  on​ ​the​ ​website.​ ​Thank​ ​you​ ​to​ ​the​ ​parents​ ​who​ ​have​ ​put​ ​their​ ​hands​ ​up​ ​to​ ​take​ ​a​ ​team.    We​ ​have​ ​also​ ​put​ ​a​ ​Year​ ​7/8​ ​team​ ​into​ ​the​ ​Hawera​ ​touch​ ​competition​ ​which​ ​start​ ​on  Thursday​ ​19th​ ​at​ ​the​ ​TSB​ ​Hub.​ ​Once​ ​we​ ​have​ ​the​ ​draw​ ​we​ ​will​ ​pop​ ​it​ ​up​ ​on​ ​the​ ​website.      School​ ​Accounts  Accounts​ ​have​ ​been​ ​sent​ ​home​ ​with​ ​students​ ​today.​ ​These​ ​include​ ​Year​ ​6/7​ ​camps,​ ​but​ ​it  excludes​ ​the​ ​Year​ ​8​ ​camp​ ​fee​ ​as​ ​this​ ​will​ ​be​ ​confirmed​ ​at​ ​the​ ​camp​ ​meeting​ ​on​ ​Thursday  26th​ ​October.    Camp/trip​ ​fees​ ​need​ ​to​ ​be​ ​paid​ ​before​ ​camp/trip​ ​dates,​ ​with​ ​all​ ​other​ ​accounts​ ​paid​ ​by​ ​1st  December.    Year​ ​4/5​ ​Trip  We​ ​are​ ​mixing​ ​it​ ​up​ ​a​ ​little​ ​this​ ​year​ ​for​ ​the​ ​Year​ ​4/5‘s​ ​end​ ​of​ ​year​ ​camp.​ ​Instead​ ​of​ ​the  students​ ​having​ ​an​ ​overnight​ ​stay​ ​at​ ​school​ ​the​ ​teachers​ ​have​ ​organised​ ​a​ ​day​ ​trip​ ​to  Whanganui​ ​on​ ​Friday​ ​24th​ ​November.​ ​Forms​ ​have​ ​been​ ​sent​ ​home​ ​today​ ​with​ ​more​ ​details.  The​ ​Year​ ​4/5​ ​students​ ​will​ ​have​ ​an​ ​overnight​ ​camp​ ​next​ ​year​ ​and​ ​every​ ​second​ ​year​ ​after.    Taranaki​ ​Bulls​ ​at​ ​Farmlands​ ​Opunake  As​ ​part​ ​of​ ​a​ ​current​ ​promotion,​ ​Farmlands​ ​in​ ​Opunake​ ​will​ ​be​ ​hosting​ ​some​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Taranaki  Bulls​ ​players​ ​in​ ​store​ ​on​ ​Thursday​ ​5th​ ​October​ ​from​ ​11.30am​ ​–​ ​12.30pm.​ ​There​ ​will​ ​be​ ​games  for​ ​the​ ​kids,​ ​free​ ​posters​ ​and​ ​balls​ ​to​ ​be​ ​handed​ ​out,​ ​along​ ​with​ ​a​ ​free​ ​BBQ.​ ​All​ ​funds​ ​raised  will​ ​go​ ​to​ ​the​ ​referee’s​ ​association.    Nga​ ​mihi​ ​nui​ ​kia​ ​koutou,   Jarad​ ​Chittenden,​ ​Principal

Please​ ​complete​ ​the​ ​form​ ​on​ ​the​ ​school​ ​website​​ ​to  register​ ​for​ ​Calf​ ​and​ ​Lamb​ ​Day.  This​ ​form​ ​needs​ ​to​ ​be​ ​filled​ ​in​ ​by​ ​Tuesday​ ​26th​ ​September.  If​ ​you​ ​are​ ​unable​ ​to​ ​complete​ ​this​ ​online,​ ​please​ ​grab​ ​an​ ​entry​ ​form​ ​from​ ​the​ ​office.  NO​ ​DOGS​ ​or​ ​HORSES​ ​PLEASE!

Lambs/Goat 

•​ ​Leading  •​ ​Calling  No​ ​Bottles​ ​are​ ​to​ ​be​ ​given​ ​during​ ​judging  No​ ​lambs​ ​are​ ​to​ ​be​ ​washed 

Most​ ​Loved​ ​Pet​​ ​(judging​ ​begins​ ​at​ ​10am) 

•​ ​Booklet​ ​to​ ​be​ ​shown​ ​to​ ​judges​ ​(please​ ​pick​ ​up​ ​a​ ​booklet​ ​from​ ​the​ ​school​ ​office)  •​ ​Pet​ ​needs​ ​to​ ​be​ ​carried​ ​in​ ​a​ ​cage​ ​or​ ​on​ ​a​ ​lead  •​ ​No​ ​dogs​ ​or​ ​horses​ ​allowed  •​ ​You​ ​can​ ​only​ ​enter​ ​either​ ​the​ ​calf/lamb​ ​sections​ ​or​ ​the​ ​most​ ​loved​ ​pet​ ​section.​ ​You  cannot​ ​enter​ ​both 

-​ ​Each​ ​entrant​ ​will​ ​receive​ ​a​ ​participation​ ​ribbon  -​ ​Parking​ ​available​ ​on​ ​sports​ ​field​ ​using​ ​skeet​ ​rd​ ​entrance  -​ ​Throughout​ ​the​ ​day​ ​classrooms​ ​will​ ​be​ ​open​ ​displaying​ ​a​ ​variety​ ​of​ ​the​ ​children’s​ ​work  -​ ​There​ ​will​ ​be​ ​a​ ​cake/produce​ ​stall,​ ​bbq​ ​lunch,​ ​curry,​ ​tea/coffee,​ ​drinks,​ ​chocolate​ ​bars  -​ ​A​ ​variety​ ​of​ ​awesome​ ​donated​ ​goods​ ​to​ ​be​ ​auctioned​ ​after​ ​lunch  -​ ​A​ ​battens​ ​up​ ​style​ ​raffle  -​ ​Eftpos​ ​is​ ​available​ ​from​ ​the​ ​hall​ ​to​ ​purchase​ ​Auroa​ ​Dollars  -​ ​The​ ​senior​ ​children​ ​will​ ​be​ ​running​ ​games​ ​by​ ​the​ ​cricket​ ​club  -​ ​Please​ ​invite​ ​grandparents,​ ​friends​ ​and​ ​neighbours​ ​to​ ​come​ ​along​ ​and​ ​join​ ​in​ ​the​ ​fun   

THIS​ ​IS​ ​THE​ ​PTA’S​ ​MAIN​ ​FUNDRAISER​ ​FOR​ ​THE​ ​YEAR  WE​ ​LOOK​ ​FORWARD​ ​TO​ ​YOUR​ ​SUPPORT  Students​ ​who​ ​are​ ​not​ ​participating​ ​or​ ​do​ ​not​ ​have​ ​an​ ​accompanying​ ​caregiver​ ​need​ ​to​ ​come​ ​to​ ​school​ ​in​ ​uniform  and​ ​report​ ​to​ ​the​ ​school​ ​hall​ ​as​ ​per​ ​a​ ​normal​ ​school​ ​day    Buses​ ​will​ ​be​ ​running​ ​as​ ​per​ ​normal
