THE PRINCIPAL’S CORNER Fall Conferences Thank you Parents, Teachers and Students for such a successful Fall Conference time. It was great to see so many families here working to help their children to set goals for this year. Student conferences are required. If you were unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please reschedule so that your child has an opportunity to share their work and you can assist in setting goals for this year. Veterans’ Day Assembly, Friday, November 8th at 10:00 AM We would like to invite any active duty or retired military personnel to join us as honored guests for our annual tribute to our Veterans. This is always a very special assembly and we hope you can join us.

Important Reminder Any changes in transportation home needs to be called into the office no later than 2:30 to ensure we get bus slips and notifications printed and to the students. Thank you! 1

Emergency Supply List (Guidelines) 1 large garbage bag (black plastic) - will be used as a poncho for warmth 2 packages of snack crackers of your choice 2 fruit roll-ups 2 drinks (not Capri Sun – as they leak over time) 2 wash up wipes 2 fruit cups with pop top lids 2 granola bars 1 spoon or fork (plastic) 1 family picture and note from home All items should be commercially packed and sealed. Please put the above or similar items in a large zip lock bag clearly marked with your child’s name and send it to school with your child.

VOLUNTEERS Parents and community are important members of our team in educating the students of Hedden. Volunteers are needed in classrooms helping students or with clerical work, as library helpers, PTA, committees, and special projects. Contact the school if you would like to volunteer. A signed and completed Volunteer Disclosure Form is required prior to volunteering, and a signature acknowledging having read the Fife School District sexual harassment policy is required. If you volunteer to help at school, you must sign-in at the school office before reporting to your assigned area. Change of Registration Information Any student, who has a change of address, or whose parent’s phone number has changed, must notify the office so that records can be kept up-to-date.
