FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Worth County School District New Interim Superintendent, Dr. Larry Walters DATE: March 2, 2017
In a called board meeting on March 1, 2017, the Worth County Board of Education accepted the retirement request of Mrs. Kay Mathews effective immediately. The Board thanks her for her service and hard work in the district pushing Worth County forward and wishes her the best. We will start the process of a superintendent search immediately. We are pleased to announce Dr. Larry Walters as Worth County School District Interim Superintendent. Dr. Walters was Lee County Superintendent for twelve years and most recently Interim Superintendent in Sumter County. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in education to our district.
