Bohman, Daniel Ivie, Wayne Klomp and Robert Schaffer recently joined the Nevada offices. Bohman is an associate in the Las Vegas office practicing commercial litigation. Before joining Snell & Wilmer, he clerked for the Honorable Kent J. Dawson at the United States District Court, District of Nevada. As a federal law clerk, he gained valuable experience crafting and presenting precisely targeted arguments. Bohman received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and his M.P.A. and B.A. from Brigham Young University. He is a board member of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, Las Vegas Chapter. Ivie joins the Las Vegas office as a staff attorney. He concentrates his practice on commercial litigation, emphasizing the financial services industry. He represents major financial institutions in disputes involving federal and state consumer protection statutes, breach of contract issues, tort law claims, and lender and servicer liability related to mortgage lending, loan servicing, foreclosure, credit issues and other issues involving consumer finance. Prior to Snell & Wilmer, he worked at Houser & Allison and Lewis and Roca. Ivie received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law, University of Utah and holds a B.A. in English from Brigham Young University. Ivie is a member of the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court and the local chapter of the American Inns of Court. Klomp joins the Reno office as a staff attorney. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation with an emphasis in financial services litigation, protecting the security interests of financial institutions. Klomp previously worked as a Deputy Attorney General in Carson City, NV, providing legal services primarily to the Division of Environmental Protection on remediation and environmental matters. He graduated with his J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and with his B.S. in Geology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, he was a litigation associate at Fennemore Craig Jones Vargas. Schaffer joins the Las Vegas office as a staff attorney. His practice is concentrated on product liability and bad faith. He also has experience in construction defect, premise liability, general liability and intellectual property. He graduated with his J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He obtained his undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah. Schaffer currently serves on the board of trustees for Aid for AIDS of Nevada.
