NDB Toastmasters Club in collaboration with the Human Resources Department and the Jaffna Toastmasters Club successfully conducted the fourth regional meeting at the Manipay branch premises. The meeting was conducted in the presence of the staff from the North East Regional Office, branch staff from the North East region as well as Toastmasters from the Jaffna Toastmasters Club. Members of the NDB Toastmasters Club started off the meeting with an introductory session, enlightening the audience on the Toastmasters Educational programme and how one could develop his/her communication and leadership skills, followed by a model meeting to showcase the standards of a Toastmasters meeting procedure. Members from both NDB Toastmasters Club and Jaffna Toastmasters Club played the roles of the meeting showcasing how each role would benefit each role player in critically analyzing, evaluating and improving one’s listening skills. Keeping in line with the theme "Stepping out of the comfort zone: Unleashing the leader within", the foundation was laid for participants to discover and showcase their hidden skills, whilst educating them on how to develop them further.
