Strategy One: Develop and implement Common Core curriculum: Action Steps: In PLCs, K-8 teachers will create and develop IB Units K-2 teachers will embed Common Core Reading Foundational Standards within daily instructional practices. K-5 teachers will have an increased focus on reading fluency within connected text. Teachers will utilize assessment data (e.g., Galileo, DIBELS and common assessments) to monitor student progress and drive instruction.

Strategy One: Implement and develop curriculum based on the Arizona Common Core State Standards. Action Steps: K-5 teachers will continue to utilize, and refine lessons from, the district approved 2010 AZ Standards based on the inquiry math program through the use of quarterly pacing guides. K-8 teachers will continue usage of a district-wide daily math fluency program and will report students’ math fluency progress weekly to the site coordinator. K-8 teachers will utilize and document common, formative assessments aligned to the quarterly pacing/assessment guide to monitor student progress, design instruction, and for PLC collaboration.
