JOB Specification: MTV EXIT Myanmar Campaign Coordinator LOCATION: Yangon, Myanmar MTV EXIT is a dynamic multimedia awareness campaign that aims to prevent human trafficking and exploitation by inspiring behavior change and social action. Using the power and influence of music, film, and celebrities, the campaign produces award-winning on-air, on-the-ground, and online activities that engage and educate millions of people. MTV EXIT is looking for a Campaign Coordinator to join the campaign in Myanmar. This position will report to the MTV EXIT Youth Engagement Manager at the Headquarter Office in Bangkok, Thailand and will be responsible for maintaining, building and nurturing relationships and partnerships with a variety of important stakeholders; primarily youth networks across the country, as well as creative and media agencies, broadcasters, corporations and non-governmental organisations. As a regional campaign, the building and strengthening of partnership networks will be a key priority essential to the success of our program activities. JOB SUMMARY The Campaign Coordinator will represent MTV EXIT in the collaborative implementation of youthfocused, anti-trafficking roadshow events throughout Myanmar. Additionally, the Campaign Coordinator will be responsible for fostering and nurturing relationships with a network of youth across the country, providing capacity-building training workshops, ongoing support and mentoring to encourage and sustain continued engagement with youth organisations and individuals with the MTV EXIT campaign. The position will involve acting as an in-country liaison connecting MTV EXIT headquarter staff with relevant creative and media agencies, broadcasters and digital platforms. Importantly, the Campaign Coordinator will also promote and maximize distribution of MTV EXIT programming and materials to all relevant sectors of in the trafficking community and all MTV EXIT audiences. This position is a multi-functional role to ensure the seamless and timely delivery of supportive campaign components including on-air, on-the-ground, and online collaborative events. Ensure the successful roll-out of MTV EXIT events through the sourcing of necessary event venues, public services, performers, venues and equipment Manage production at MTV EXIT Roadshow events, ensuring the successful delivery of small live concerts, drama, and other performances Liaise with local and national NGOs to organise & facilitate innovative MTV EXIT training sessions about trafficking & awareness-raising activities Travel regularly throughout the country to deliver events, to sustain and build relationships with youth networks and campaign partners. concerts, youth workshops, capacity-building workshops, school outreach activities and other public forums Support the implementation of MTV EXIT’s Communications & Digital Outreach Strategy in order to maximize media exposure of the campaign within the region by liaising with and linking MTV EXIT Bangkok staff to relevant sources in broadcast, media and corporations Develop and maintain a network of creative resources in Myanmar (videography, photography, graphic design, digital activism, musicians, artists, etc) and facilitate the coordination of their involvement in MTV EXIT events Maintain close communication with MTV EXIT youth groups to provide any necessary support to ensure that their advocacy efforts are sustained and event messaging is in line with MTV EXIT’s broader communication strategy Assist in sourcing in-country translation services Produce event and activity reports to feed into MTV EXIT Asia’s regional reporting
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS ●
Fluency in English and Myanmar languages (both written and oral)

The ideal candidate will have good experience in event organization, PR, marketing, advertising and/or television with strong networks and connections in these fields, in addition to relationships with media outlets and PR agencies. Candidates with additional experience with human rights, human trafficking or related fields are preferred

Experience working in an international environment is preferred
●
Highly organised with the ability to prioritize own workload in a very diverse and multifunctional role
●
A self-starter who is proactive, highly motivated, and able to work independently and take initiative
●
Highly developed communication skills with the ability to build a rapport with individuals quickly and maintain relationships
●
Experience working on media and / or public awareness campaigns is desirable
●
Project management experience and a team-first mentality
●
Willingness to spend weeks at a time traveling to rural areas of Myanmar when necessary
