MSP PTC MINUTES June 10, 2014 The Meeting was called to order by Mr. Guarino at 7:02PM In Attendance Darlene Del Buono Chris Cronkhite Cheryl Provost Matthew Guarino – Principal Randy Peck – Treasurer Ms. Butler- teacher Diane Rottier, 8th grade representative Jill Samperi – Secretary Approval of Minutes The minutes were reviewed from May and approved by Diane Rottier and Ms. Butler

Treasurer’s Report- Balance - $2,731.31 Treasurers report was reviewed and approved by Mrs. Rottier and Mrs. Butler Principal’s Report- No report Teachers Report6th grade  Field trip to NoMads on June 14, 2014  Celebration of learning  * 7th Grade Science Center – June 13, 2014  Celebration of Learning 8th Grade Students in the 8th grade will go to Holiday Hill on June 11, 2014  June 19, 2014 Celebration of learning – academic and attendance awards will be given to students.  High School principle has met with eighth grade students.

Board of Education Report  June 9, 2014 Town Meeting  Amy Labas is Plainville’s new Athletic Director.  Lunch prices will increase by an additional .25cent. come September 2014



Survey from an outside vendor showed MSP ranked high. The survey showed the students feel very safe and happy with MSP

 Old Business  PTC scholarships have been selected and will be distributed during the Celebration of Learning  Eighth grade graduation party will be on June 13, 2014 from 5:30-9:00PM at the middle school. Parents gathering will be from 5:30-6:00PM  The dance will be from 6:00-9:00PM New Business:  New Officers: President- Darlene Del Buono Vice President – TBD Treasure – Randy Peck Secretary – Jill Samperi nnouncements PTC meetings will continue to be held on second Tuesday of each month starting in September Adjournment Motion to adjourn was made at 8:00 
