August​ ​20,​ ​2007 Welcome​ ​Back​ ​ ​Pioneer​ ​Families! Thank​ ​you​ ​to​ ​all​ ​our​ ​families​ ​who​ ​attended​ ​Back​ ​to​ ​School​ ​Night​ ​on​ ​Wednesday,​ ​it​ ​was​ ​very​ ​nice​ ​to see​ ​our​ ​parents​ ​on​ ​campus.​ ​ ​For​ ​those​ ​parents​ ​who​ ​did​ ​not​ ​attend​ ​Back​ ​to​ ​School​ ​Night,​ ​please​ ​be sure​ ​to​ ​stop​ ​by​ ​the​ ​office​ ​to​ ​pick​ ​up​ ​your​ ​Illuminate​ ​Ed​ ​Access​ ​Code,​ ​this​ ​will​ ​allow​ ​you​ ​to​ ​create​ ​a parent​ ​account​ ​in​ ​Illuminate​ ​Ed.​ ​ ​This​ ​system​ ​will​ ​provide​ ​you​ ​access​ ​to​ ​your​ ​student’s​ ​grades​ ​as​ ​well as​ ​attendance​ ​information.​ ​ ​This​ ​system​ ​is​ ​replacing​ ​our​ ​old​ ​Aeries​ ​System. Also,​ ​we​ ​are​ ​currently​ ​working​ ​on​ ​balancing​ ​class​ ​sizes,​ ​as​ ​a​ ​result​ ​we​ ​are​ ​still​ ​working​ ​on​ ​schedule changes,​ ​and​ ​your​ ​student​ ​may​ ​have​ ​a​ ​schedule​ ​change​ ​in​ ​the​ ​coming​ ​week,​ ​to​ ​help​ ​balance​ ​class sizes.​ ​ ​We​ ​experienced​ ​an​ ​increase​ ​of​ ​students​ ​in​ ​grades​ ​7​ ​and​ ​8​ ​this​ ​month,​ ​which​ ​has​ ​impacted these​ ​classes.​ ​ ​I​ ​apologize​ ​for​ ​the​ ​inconvenience​ ​this​ ​may​ ​cause​ ​for​ ​your​ ​student.​ ​It​ ​is​ ​my​ ​goal​ ​to minimize​ ​schedule​ ​changes,​ ​while​ ​addressing​ ​the​ ​class​ ​size​ ​issues​ ​we​ ​are​ ​currently​ ​facing This​ ​week​ ​in​ ​AthleticsCross​ ​Country​ ​tryouts​ ​will​ ​continue​ ​ ​Monday.​ ​ ​ ​Flag​ ​Football​ ​tryouts​ ​will​ ​begin​ ​on​ ​Monday​ ​from 3:30-5:00pm.​ ​ ​Volleyball​ ​practice​ ​will​ ​continue​ ​this​ ​week. Again, just a reminder to all our parents, if you have not purchased chromebook insurance, I highly encourage you to do so.
