MORFOLOGI EXTERNAL IDENTIFICATION OF EEL (Anguilla spp) ON FINGERLING PHASE IN THE RIVER OF AIR HITAM BENGKULU CITY
Reski Okti Grover, Dede Hartono and Dewi Purnama Marine Sience Departemen, Bengkulu University Introduction Bengkulu Province has several large rivers that end to the sea, one of them is Air Hitam estuary of Bengkulu city. Air Hitam estuary is one of the rivers in the Bengkulu Province which become the Aim distribution of fish eel. This study aims to identification the catched of eels in the Air Hitam river Bengkulu City.
Methods
The study conducted for 2 months using observation methode and sampling of fish eel with random method.

Result The result showed that the type of eel found in the Air Hitam river Bengkulu City with ADL /% TL = 0.00 to 4.08 is a short-finned eel and species Anguilla bicolor bicolor.

Anguilla bicolor bicolor that found in Air Hitam river Bengkulu City has a physical shape smooth skin with brown or gray, and the abdomen is white.
Parameter water quality in the Air Hitam river Bengkulu City was thetemperature ranges from 25 to 28.70 C, pH 8,3, water transparency 100 %, salinity, disolveoxygen 6,3 mg/l, current velocity <10 cm/s, dept of the waters 50 to 80 cm and ground state muddy waters.
