For the past twenty years he has served in progressively responsible roles in higher education as a faculty member, department chair, associate dean, dean, chief information officer, associate vice president, vice president and chief academic officer. He has been employed by Bemidji State University (BSU) since July 2000, filling various senior administrative roles. DCTE Happenings The Division of Career and Technical Education, along with the South Dakota Association of Career and Technical Education, has been working tirelessly to prepare an amazing 2016 Summer Conference experience for our attendees. In addition to lining up outstanding tour options, new attractions such as a scavenger hunt, and a Quick Pitch competition, we’re confident that the conference speakers and breakout sessions, along with the trade show, will offer something valuable for each of you.

Please make time to include this summer conference in your professional development calendar. Additionally, the DCTE has been coordinating the unpacking of standards written by educational professionals from across the state last summer. That work is happening this week in Pierre. We have a wonderful group of educators gathered to complete that work, and you will be hearing much more about this work in the coming months. We’re looking forward the upcoming school year, and serving you, and your schools, in any way we can.
