-The Fundamental Duties of the citizen were added to the constitution by the 42nd Amendment in 1976. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed was the president and Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister of India during 42nd Amendment of Indian Constitution. lt was upon the recommendations of the Swaran Singh Committee. -The 42nd Amendment Act included 10 fundamental duties. One more Fundamental Duty was added by the 86th Constitutional Amendment Act of 2002. ihus now there are 11 Fundamental Duties. .86th Amendment added a duty to every parent or guardian to ensure that their child or ward was provided opportunities for education between the ages of six and fourteen years. -The fundamental duties in Indian Constitution are inspired by the constitution of the U.S.S.R. -Fundamental Duties are non- Justiciable in Nature. Article 21 A of the Indian Constitution deals with the right to education. According to 21A "The state shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of 6 to 14 years in such a manner as the state may, by law, determine". -Article 21 A was added to the 86th constitution amendment in 2002. -Article 14 deals with equality before Law and Equal protection of Laws. -Article 44 deals with uniform civil code for the citizens.
