C. PUBLIC SESSION At 6:30 pm Mr. Schofield called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Announcements - Mr. Schofield stated School 12's ALP program held a fundraiser over the weekend which raised approximately $2,000. Mrs. Wager-Rounds announced that Peter Marx of U.W. Marx made a matching donation of $2,000 and presented Jim Canfield and Beth VonEitzen with a check. D. PUBLIC INPUT ON AGENDA AND NON-AGENDA ITEMS Keirsten Lamora (THS 10th Grade Student) - Ms. Lamora read a statement for Girls Scout Gold Award regarding the District's music department. She would like to improve the future of the music department and encourage younger students to be interested in the arts. She stated some students at THS have scheduling conflicts and are forced to choose between music and other electives or advanced classes. She is organizing an event in January to help raise awareness of the importance of music in schools.

Settlement Agreement and Release RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education of the Enlarged City School District of Troy hereby approves the Settlement Agreement and Release between the District and the employee listed on confidential Schedule “A”.

Authorization for Medical Examination RESOLVED, that pursuant to §913 of the Education Law, the Board of Education of the Enlarged City School District of Troy hereby authorizes Dr. Steven Kronick to serve as school medical inspector for purposes of conducting a medical and psychological examination of the employee listed on confidential Schedule “B”, for the purpose of determining said employee’s fitness to continue to perform the duties of their position. Presentation to THS Flying Horses Football Team Immediately following the meeting, THS Football Team was honored as the 2016 NYS Section 2 Class AA Champions, Regional Class AA Champions and NYSPHSAA Class AA State Champions. Students were congratulated by Mayor Patrick Madden, Troy City Council President Carmella Mantello, BOE President Jason Schofield and Superintendent John Carmello. Head Coach Bobby Burns spoke about the boys' hard work and how proud he is to coach them. Each player was presented with a certificate.
