Minority Leadership Academy Scholarship Application Overview Scholarship Information: 1. One non-renewable one-year scholarship of $500 per semester will be awarded. 2. The scholarship will be renewed for second semester if the applicant continues to major in Education (P-12) and maintains a 2.5 GPA minimum. Scholarship Requirements: 1. Be a graduating senior of a TPS high school. 2. Be planning to attend a Kansas college or university. 3. Have a minimum 2.5 GPA. 4. Plan on majoring in Education P - 12. Required Attachments for the Scholarship Application Cover Page: 1. Official seven-semester high school transcript and eighth-semester class schedule. 2. Current resume (limited to one page). 3. Two letters of reference from your high school teachers. 4. Completed essays of 750 – 1,000 words on the following topics: a. Tell why you want to pursue a career in education. b.
