taffof the Budget Division shall act as its Secretariat.
The Committee shall have the following functions: 1. Review budget proposals of the different Services, staffs and other units and recommend revision thereof in the light of MUF policies and objectives. 2. Pass upon requests and justifications for the creation of new positions and make appropriate recommendations thereon based on approved criteria and guidelines. 3. Review proposed procurement programs for equipment, supplies, materials and medicines, and ensure the inclusion of adequate outlays therefor in the agency budget proposal.
2 4. Ensure that prompt feedback is provided to the Service and unit heads concerned on approved items in the agency budget upon receipt by the Budget Division of printed copies of the General Appropriations Act, the Advice of Allotment and Cash Disbursement Ceiling. 5. Provide a forum for consultation on the agency's Work and Financial Plan by program and project prior to its submission to the Ministry of the Budget. 6. Prioritize the acquisition of new equipment and recommend allocation thereof on the basis of the approved agency budget. 7. Make such adjustments as may be necessary in the allocation of funds for, and monitor the consumption of office supplies and materials of the different Services and units in relation to their respective plans and program.
6. Perform such other function as may be assigned to it by higher authority. This Order shall take effect immediately.
