Migration Steps ●

Export the outlook express contents to “.pst” file from windows platform and keep a copy of it. Login to Boss Linux and install the follwing packages using apt-get command. ●

Readpst

●

Libpst4

●

Imagemagick

Converting “.pst” into mbox file(do th following in terminal) readpst -o -r

Now you get mbox file in the destination folder.

downlaod ImportExport addon for Icedove from follwing link http://nic-nac-project.de/~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html and install that in your Icedove (Tools --> Add-ons)

Now you have an option to import/export in tools menu of Icedove.

Contd... ●

In Icedove right click the Local folders → Import/export → Import mbox file → select the mbox file.

Now you have all the outlook content into your Icedove.

Installing flash-player in Iceweasel ●

Download flashplayer for linux from follwing link http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Select the “.tar.gz for linux” and download Extract the tar.gz file by right clicking the file now you get the libflashplayer.so file(name may be different but .so file) Copy the file and paste it into the follwing folder/usr/lib/iceweasel/plugins and restart the iceweasel browser. Now you can view flash files and videos.

Importing the Internet explorer bookmarks into iceweasel ●

Export the bookmarks from internet explorer into a file(html file) and keep a copy it. Now login to BOSS linux open iceweasel now bookmarks → organize bookmarks → import and backup → import html file, now browse to the bookmark of the internet explorer file. Now all the bookmarks are imported to iceweasel browser.
