This is to inform you that the City of Dasmariñas shall celebrate the Paruparo Festival on the 26th of November 2016 that coincides with the City Founding Anniversary of Dasmariñas. The Paruparo Festival intends to showcase the metamorphosis that our city has undergone to attain its being one of the most progressive cities in the country. It shall also display the artistry of the Dasmarineños in the fields of performing and visual art. In this regard, the undersigned kindly requests for your active participation through joining the Street Dance Competition open to delegations of forty (40) to fifty (50) members with the following divisions: 1. 2. 3. 4.

II. Judging 1. There shall be five (5) judges. 2 There shall be judges in various points of the parade route 3. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable. Ill. Criteria

Guidelines: 1. Open to all the residents of the City of Dasmariñas. 2. The delegation should be made up of 40 to 50 dancers. If less than the minimum or more than the maximum number of dancers, the delegation shall be disqualified. 3. Only the provided official music shall be used. Hence, each participating group shall be provided with a CD copy of the official music. The City Government shall provide the mobile sound system for the participants. The official music shall vary according to division. 4. The choreography must remain wholesome at all times. 5. The participants should wear costumes that are relevant to the metamorphosis of the butterfly and should be wholesome. 6. Props, if there are any, shall be carried by the dancers themselves all throughout the parade route 7. The order of parade shall be determined by the drawing of lots at a date prior to the actual parade) Each contingent shall be provided with a tarpaulin bearing the organization/institution it represents. 8. For divisions wherein there are only five (5) or less entries, only the first prize shall be awarded. For divisions wherein there are only six (6) to nine (9) entries, only the first and second prizes shall be awarded. For divisions wherein there are ten (10) or more entries, the first, second and third prizes shall be awarded.
