TAFE SA and Yondah Beach House have also been inducted in to the South Australian Tourism Hall of Fame having won their respective categories for the third year in a row. The Awards ceremony is a prestigious industry event, attended by the who’s who of the State’s tourism industry, celebrating 30 category winners by awarding businesses and individuals judged to be the best in their category (list attached). In addition, 68 finalists were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals for achieving a high standard in their category. Deb Alexander received the Outstanding Contribution by an Individual award. South Australian Tourism Industry Council General Manger, Shaun de Bruyn congratulated all winners, medallists and Hall of Fame inductees. “South Australians should be extremely proud of the fine quality tourism experiences we have on offer, and as an industry that is so vital to South Australia’s economy, we should give recognition where it is deserved,” Mr de Bruyn says. “The standards for receiving a Tourism Award win or medal are extremely high, making it a prestigious accolade that raises the reputation and consumer recognition of a business. “The Awards process also provides invaluable benefits to businesses, with feedback from past winners and entrants highlighting the programs significant contribution to their business development and activities.
