Maharashtra Academy of Engineering & Educational Research (MAEER), Pune was founded in 1983, with the goal to become a “Center of Excellence in the field of Education and Research.”. The Trust has 71 institutes, colleges and schools in the field of Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medicine and general education. An initial step taken by a great visionary Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, who nurtured a strong conviction to provide the best of education to the society today it has resulted in a strong educational realm.

This FDP is aimed at giving academicians and industry experts an insight for delving into the details of High Performance Computing along with the technical know-hows of cloud computing. The FDP promises to allow its audience an enticing journey into the world of HPC and Cloud Computing, from the point of view of university syllabus demands and a foray into the mesmerizing world of HPC and Cloud Computing.

A UNESCO chair in Human Rights, Democracy and Peace has been established at the “World Peace Centre” of MIT Pune, which is first of its kind in South East Asia.

Maharashtra Institute of Technology was among the first self financing engineering college in Maharashtra and since then remains as the most important flagship institution of MAEER, offering undergraduate engineering studies in nine disciplines and post-graduate studies in nine disciplines. It has excelled in the field of education and is known today as one of the foremost centers of education and learning.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The Department of Computer Engineering was established in the year 1985. The department is well equipped with an excellent infrastructure and state of the art laboratories. The department offers UG and PG programmes. The department has collaboration with major multinational companies. The department has well equipped software and hardware laboratories along with well qualified staff. The department organizes various student activities through student chapters like ACM and CSI as well as MCUG (MIT computer Users Group).
