INTRODUCTION The 4th Macau International Education Expo (“MIEE 4”) will be held on May 16-18, 2014 in Venetian Macau CotaiExpo. It is the Macau leading education Expo with a new event: Asia Education Agent Workshop, for international educators and student recruitment agents from China and other Asian countries. Therefore, MIEE 4, is not just a leading student recruiting event, but a must-attend education B2B event for all education institutions wanting to build more high quality recruitment agents in China and Asia. There are more than 50 exhibitors including University of Hong Kong, National Taiwan University participated MIEE 2013, which attracted 13,729 attendees.

A large international student market Currently, there are 27,700 college students from 10 higher-learning institutions and 36,155 secondary educated students (middle school students: 17,268; High school students: 18,887) from 52 schools in Macau. Most of local students and those who from mainland China have strongly intention of oversea study. In Macau, 80% families prefer to send their children to study aboard and there are more than 5,000 oversea future students each year.

2. Build up partnership with recruitment agencies The MIEE 4 is not just a student recruiting event, but a must-attend event for all education institutions wanting to have more excellent recruitment agencies in China and Asia. According to the previous three MIEEs, an increasingly number of excellent agencies is planning to make the partnership with oversea schools. Thus, Asia Education Agent Workshop is an ideal new activity during this Expo with the purposes as follow: ・Exclusive provision of the most updated education market information and trends in Macau; ・Provision of a face-to-face platform to oversea institutions and local agencies; ・Provision of an opportunity to get a close contact with decision-makers from local agencies; ・Exploring future partnership through in-depth discussions.
