#PictureLent Word for the Week: Reflect
We’re called to reflect Christ to the world, but like mirrors, we reflect the things we face. ...so which way are you facing? What is reflected in your life?

fumcocala.blogspot.com Week 3: Morning Prayer God, this is the day that you have made. It’s yours. I’m ready for whatever you have in store. Send me people to love. Send me people to serve. Send me. Help me to do whatever you want me to do today. I’m yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Week 3: Bread Prayer Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gifts of your bounty which we enjoy at this table. As you have provided for us in the past, so may you sustain us throughout our lives. While we enjoy your gifts, may we never forget those who have less and those who go without. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Week 3: Evening Prayer Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, forgive the sins I committed today. Give me insight and understanding so that I will not commit them again. All day long, You have watched over me, and now I close this day with thoughts of you. I lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. Amen.
Gallery of Great* Prayers *Any prayer offered to God in faith is a great prayer These are just some prayers that I find particularly moving Blessed Trinity, you gather us so that we will not be alone. You will us to enjoy one another, to rejoice in one another’s existence. Just as you can be three, perfectly sharing but without loss of difference, so you make us capable of love without fear that in our love we will be lost. Yet we do find ways to be alone, to be in hell. Caught up in fantasies that we can create ourselves, we become frozen in our selfimposed smiles of self-satisfaction. Because we can fool others into believing we are in control, we even come to believe it ourselves. Great and powerful Lord, shake us free of such loneliness that we may cry for help and be surprised by the willingness of your people to share. How happy we are to be your people. Amen. (by Stanley Hauerwas in Prayers Plainly Spoken)
“A Refuge amid Distraction.” (United Methodist Hymnal @535) Like an ant on a stick both ends of which are burning, I go to and fro without knowing what to do, And in great despair. Like the inescapable shadow that follows me, The dead weight of sin haunts me. Graciously look upon me. Thy love is my refuge.. Amen.
“Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” ~Mark 9:24
Lord, I have heard your reputation. I have seen your work. Over time, revive it. Over time, make it known. Though angry, remember compassion. [….] [God] stops and measures the earth. He looks and sets out against the nations. The everlasting mountains collapse; the eternal hills bow down; the eternal paths belong to him. [….] Though the fig tree doesn’t bloom, and there’s no produce on the vine; though the olive crop withers, and the fields don’t provide food; though the sheep is cut off from the pen, and there is no cattle in the stalls; I will rejoice in the Lord. I will rejoice in the God of my deliverance. The Lord God is my strength. He will set my feet like the deer. He will let me walk upon the heights. — Habakkuk 3 (Common English Bible)
