New Lewmar hatch. Couldn’t stop the old one from leaking even with new Lexan and Sikaflex. Used a new vinyl tape to seal the flange from the deck. You can see the old screw holes.

Skylark’s painted TreadMaster needs painting AGAIN. You can just see the double lifelines. I had to add two new lifelines under the existing ones. They end at the stern with pelican hooks, so all the lifelines can be droppped in case of an emergency and the need to bring a crew on board.

Refinished the dorade boxes with POR-15 White Cote bathtub paint. They look new.

Had to close all the holes in the deck and be able to lock all the hatches.Installed a BuckAlgonquin bronze deck plate to replace a non-working solar ventilator and added a lock.

The one burner storm stove and the new Blue Sea circuit panel. Under the dish drainer is the old ice box. It’s a huge, very secure space for storing cans and boxes of food.

New cushions go nicely with the ivory color the interior of the boat was painted.

Cut the old nav desk in half and hinged it so only half opens. Note the Miranti lath mounted with hundreds of screws. It replaced the warping veneer. Need to make a navigator’s curved seat. We store water bottles under the Dometic.

Three burner LPG oven, note the galley strap and crash bar. Nested bowls, pots and pans go under the oven. I will make a drawer to hold them and improve the look of the galley.

New Raymarine AIS Class B transponder links to the Chartplotter and overlays the detected ships, the radar reflection of the ship and shows it all on the chart.

You can see the cloudyness on the left of this frame. I will have to change this glass as well and all the remaining ports need new bedding. I am getting good at this however. Practice makes perfect.

Had to mount three fire extinguishers and label the location.

There were three openings from the dorades that had to be closable. This one is in the head.

Had to change the delaminating safety glass in the two large ports. What a job. Getting the frames out with the 40+ year old silicone was easy, but when one pane cracked and had to be removed with a fresh Sikaflex seal, the out-in-out-in replacement took six days!!!

Cut up a neoprene exercise mat and made gaskets for all the cockpit hatches to slow water coming into the boat in case of a roll-over.

Used stainless steel butterfly vent covers to close the dorade vents inside the boat on the overhead.
