DATE: 22 & 23 January 2015 ABOUT AMAL JYOTHI Amal Jyothi College of Engineering has established itself as a benchmark of excellence in technical higher education and research. It was founded in 2001 by the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally. Amal Jyothi is approved by the AICTE and affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. It is the first new generation engineering college in Kerala with the prestigious NBA accredited departments. The main features of the college comprise world-class infrastructure, top-flight faculty, high pass percentage, excellent placement record and unique student projects. ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LaTeX is an extremely powerful markup language for creating structured documents. It is particularly well suited for documents containing mathematics, but can be used for any document. Those whose publications involve a large number of mathematical equations often use LaTeX rather than MS Word or some other word processing package. It is the standard writing tool for most research in the mathematical sciences. LaTeX provides a facility for pdf output so that it is easy to share your research with other people who don't have LaTeX installed. Remarkably, LaTeX is freeware.
