“Dream It, Do It, Be It.” By Leah Plummer Lake Region Middle School has a “brand”or statement, like Nike has “Just Do It” . Our school’s brand is “Dream It, Do It, Be It”. Mr. Lokken stated “ It means if you dream it , you can make it happen. You can be the change. You can make your dreams come true. You have the power to make change.” He hopes the students use this particular “brand” to help them see their dream, and realize that if they work towards it, they can make things happen.

FYI: How do I get involved with sports? By Alex Kuvaja Have you wanted to join middle school sports? Here’s how you do it. First get a physical from your doctor, (have your parents call and schedule one). Then you will have to find the sports signup sheets outside the nurse's office and sign up. Once you have signed up you just wait until your name is highlighted on the sheet. Finally, once you have joined the sport you should read the announcements every day. Pay close attention to them, because all of the games/ practices are on there. If you missed a sign up, don't worry, you can still show up at a practice and tell the coach you would like to join. Sadly the only sports sixth graders can play are track and field, cross country and they can join the ski teams. If the other sports with the exception of basketball and football need extra players, they will sometimes accept sixth graders.
8th Grade Girls Soccer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By Bella Russo and Becca Roy Coach, Jackie Harlow has had a great season with our team this year. They are currently 4-0-1. With a total of 4 wins, one tie, and zero loses. They have played the toughest teams, but have still held strong with no disappointments. Also they work together, and bond like no other team does. Everyday we work hard on drills, team bonding, and conditioning. They push each other to hold strong and work as a team to succeed. To get ready for games we blast loud music to get our hearts pumping, along with our team cheers. Throughout the season they became a big family, and are proud to be Lakers.
