Calling All Colors Muskegon Middle School Kick Off Event Friday, January 13, 2017 8:30am-1:30pm Baker College Muskegon Michigan
Muskegon County Calling all Colors aims at increasing students’ awareness of cultural diversity and the impact of stereotypes while providing a safe space to talk about race in a college campus Following the conferences, students continue their discussion within their schools’ settings with the help of a designated school staff, LEDA’s personnel and up-to-date online resources which provide activities, strategies and samples of previous action plans to spark students’ interest and creative process. In the winter and spring, students identify areas of concern and implement their own action plan to address these issues. At the spring conference, students present their project and strategies for implementations. To learn more about the program, its history, and outcomes, please visit www.ethnicdiversity.org.
