The Staff of the Canton City School District Transportation Department welcomes the opportunity to transport your student. Please review the following rules from Ohio Administrative Code 3301-83-08 – 3301-83-13 to help provide a Safe and Successful 2016-2017 school year: 

Arrive at bus stop 5 MINUTES before pickup time.



Avoid dangerous horseplay at the stop while waiting for the bus. Do not destroy or litter property



Students must wait in a location clear of traffic while at the bus stop.



Always cross in front of the bus at least 10 giant steps away from the bus.



OBEY the bus driver.



Once the door is closed and the bus is in motion, DO NOT RUN after the bus. This is extremely dangerous and unsafe.



All students are required to use the same bus stop all 5 days. (Monday–Friday).



Temporary Bus Transfers on a daily basis are prohibited. Many buses are loaded at capacity and cannot accommodate extra riders.



Students are expected to sit three in a seat, when needed.



Students are to remain seated while bus is in motion. Keep aisles and all exits clear.



Students will behave respectfully as they do in the classroom. NO bullying of others, NO eating or drinking, NO use of profane language.



Students will keep all body parts and objects to themselves and inside the bus.



NO weapons of any kind will be allowed on the bus.



You MUST get on and off at your designated stop.



Failure to follow the rules WILL result in loss of bus riding privileges.



The school must receive proof of residency BEFORE any address change can occur.

Delays for the first few weeks of school may occur and we apologize for any inconvenience. _______________________________ Parent/Guardian
