1. TRAFFIC AND ROAD SAFETY ENGINEER Role Definition: The Traffic and Road Safety Engineer will be responsible for carrying out road safety audits and identification of accident spots. In addition, the Engineer will liaise with traffic Police to capture traffic accident data and accident site investigations as well as providing travel advisory information to the public. The Engineer will also carry out routine inspection of road side furniture and markings. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct road safety audits, identify black spots and recommend appropriate measures in line with the approved guidelines; 2. Liaise with traffic police to capture traffic accident data and carry out detailed accident site technical investigations in line with departmental standards and guidelines; 3. Liaise with police to provide travel advisory information to the public; 4. Conduct routine inspection of road ancillary infrastructure in line with departmental guidelines and standards; 5. Develop risk matrix and put in place risk mitigation measures in the area of traffic and road safety; 6. Respond to audit reports and implement agreed recommendations within specified time frames; 7. Participate in planning, budgeting and reporting in line with departmental guidelines and targets. Requirements:
An Honors Degree in Civil Engineering or any other relevant degree;
Professional training in health Safety and Environment is added advantage.
Computer literacy is a must.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in implementing roads safety activities.
Previous work experience with any Chinese company is an added advantage
Excellent interpersonal, particularly staff/management relations;
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
2. ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER Role Definition: Environmental engineer to use the principles of engineering, soil science, biology, and chemistry to develop technically sound solutions to environmental problems. You will be involved in efforts to grow compliance with environmental public policy, optimize the utilization of resources and improve the quality of surrounding environment. Responsibilities 1. Provide system and component design that reduce negative impact on environment 2. Serve as a technical advisor on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory applicability 3. Conduct research and technical audits on environmental impact of project, analyze data and perform quality control checks 4. Develop resources management schemes 5. Provide systems technical evaluation 6. Integrate latest technologies into systems 7. Address problems and develop environmental solutions to prevent damage 8. Monitor progress and provide recommendations reports 9. Document and maintain plans, requirement, protocols, permits and standard operating procedures Requirements

3. LABORATORY ASSISTANTS Role Definition: Our Materials Testing Laboratory Assistants will be responsible for inspecting various construction materials such as soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete for quality control/quality assurance purposes. They will also be responsible to prepare field and lab inspection and testing reports and provide technical support for construction quality control personnel. Responsibilities 1. Conducting following laboratory and field tests: 2. Soil Particle Size Analysis using Hydrometer 3. Specific Gravity of Soil 4. Sieve Analysis 5. Moisture-Density Relation of Soil (Proctor) 6. Moisture and Density of Soil Using Nuclear Gauge 7. Sampling and Testing Fresh Concrete (Slump, Air Content, Temperature and Density) 8. Concrete and Grout Compressive Strength 9. Wet concrete testing per ACI/ASTM standards 10. Aggregate gradation/sieve analysis testing per ASTM standards 11. Concrete compression testing per ACI/ASTM standards 12. Entering test data in web based software and MS Excel Requirements
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction
High School Diploma/ Degree and/or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma or similar experience preferred.
Previous work experience with any Chinese company is an added advantage
Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
Must be able to communicate well with co-workers

4. BLAST TECHNICIAN Job Description: Determines strength and pattern of blast required and charges and detonates explosives in surface or pit, or quarry to fracture or separate stone or minerals from solid formations: Studies formation to determine amount, type, and location of explosive charge required. Responsibilities 1. Marks pattern of drill holes or issues drilling instructions for depth and placement of blast holes. 2. Inserts, packs, or pours explosives, such as dynamite, ammonium nitrate, black powder, or slurries into blast holes and compacts charge, using tamping rod. 3. Positions assembled primer and blasting cap in hole at depth that will cause most effective explosion. 4. Connects electric wire to primer and covers charge or fills blast hole with clay, drill chips, sand, or other material. 5. Tamps material to secure charge and prevent force of blast from escaping through blast hole. 6. Inspects blasting area to ensure that safety laws are observed and signals workers to clear area. 7. Connects wires to electrical firing device and pushes plunger, turns dial, or presses buttons to set off single or multiple blasts. Requirements
3+ years shotfiring experience,
Exposure to systems and technology preferred;
2+ years of technical experience in drill & blast;
Previous work experience with any Chinese company is an added advantage
Ability to work autonomously, and with limited direction as well as part of a tightly functioning team;
Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent computing skills.
5. CIVIL ENGINEERS Job Description: Responsibilities 1. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects. 2. Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools. 3. Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction. 6. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility. 7. Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel. 8. Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel. 9. Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects. Requirements

6. CONSTRUCTION MANAGER Responsibilities 1. Create schedules for construction crew and ensure all projects are fully staffed 2. 7. LAND SURVEYORS Role Definition: Make exact measurements and determine property boundaries. Provide data relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of land or land features. Job Description: 1. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed. 2. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. 3. Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain. 4. Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, records, and documents related to surveys. 5. Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements. 6. Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects. 7. Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy. 8. Establish fixed points for using geodetic and engineering instruments. 9. Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures. 10. 8. QUANTITY SURVEYORS Job Summary: The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for developing methods of measurement of quantities to match the general specifications. The Quantity Surveyor will also be responsible for preparing the unit rate analysis for each major construction item using best cost elements of labour, material, equipment, overheads, risks and profit. Responsibilities: 1. Work within a team and provide a range of Quantity Surveying / Employer’s Agent duties from project inception through to completion 2. Prepare Cost Plans/Estimates/Bills of Quantities/Tender Documents 3. Provide post contract Quantity Surveying / Employer’s Agent services 4. Prepare data and reports to timescales in a format required by line management/client. 5. Work collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery. Requirements:
Qualified with a BSc in Quantity Surveying or any other relevant degree
Chartered member of the RICS or qualified through experience
A minimum of 5 years experience working on road projects is a must
A knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction cost’s coupled with a competent knowledge of a range of project procurement options.

9. DRAWING AND DESIGN ASSISTANT Job Description: 1. Assist with development and implementation of quality assurance plans and seek to align client expectations into this process 2. Follow design schedules and review plans with upper management to executive the project 3. Review design plans and specifications for compliance at each iteration of design 4. Input comments into internal data base 5. Prepare submittals and input documentation Requirements
