Tiger Times Sara Ankrapp, Principal Cell Phone Policy Updates We understand that students may need to use cell phones to contact parents afterschool. Cell phones are allowed, but must not be audible or visible during the school day. Any phone that rings or is used during the school day, including text messages and taking pictures will be confiscated. If a cell phone causes a class disruption, the student will receive a discipline referral in addition to the cell phone being confiscated. Cell phones and unauthorized electronic devices used in violation of this policy will be confiscated, turned in to the school office and a parent/legal guardian must come to sign for the return of the cell phone or electronic device. The third offense will result in the cell phone or electronic device being held for the remainder of the school year.

Dear 6th Grade Parent/Guardian, In 2014 the South Carolina Legislation passed Erin’s Law, as part of Health and Safety Education. The purpose of the law is to ensure that all students Pre-Kindergarten through High School receive this prevention instruction during the academic school year. The intent of the law is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to remain safe from sexual assault and how to make a report if an assault occurs. An instructional lesson was created by Lexington Four school counselors as a resource guide for teachers to implement Erin’s Law. This lesson is aligned with the South Carolina Academic Health and Safety Education. Lesson content varies from grade to grade. Over the next few weeks your child’s school will be presenting this lesson to your student. The lesson content is not part of sexuality education and only discusses age appropriate health and safety education. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school counselor. Martha Blankenship at 803-490-7004.

YEARBOOKS are on sale!!!

The cost is $17.00. Please send a check made to FMIS or cash to your child's homeroom teacher.
