It is with some regret that I inform you I have stress related illness, I won’t be in school for the rest of the term at least. Bruce McMillan, Deputy Principal, will take over as Acting Principal in the meantime. All the best to you all, Thomas Robertson. Criminal activity Once again our school has been targeted by criminals—there is no other word for these people—Rooms 9 and 10 were attacked by a crowbar (or something similar) on Monday while we were all at ASSEMBLY!! SOMEONE in this community knows who these people are and are not saying anything!! PLEASE help us—we are helping your children with their education and these CRIMINALS are stealing from YOUR children!! This is YOUR school. It is not “ours”. It is the community’s school and as such should be and must be protected and looked after. If you know of any criminals/or people who are acting suspicious let us know. Many thanks in anticipation.

Room 8 made butter! To make our butter all we needed was some cream and a jar to shake it in. Some of us liked it when we tasted it. Mrs Poa brought in some scones to put our butter on. We had to shake really hard and it was cool to see the liquid turn to a solid.

Team Russia It was a close, exciting game and we (Patariki and Kapihana) had lots of fun. It made your feet itch standing on the sideline waiting to go back on, we wanted to play so badly. It was a hard tournament as sometimes we didn't have enough players. But we gave it our all and we still made it to the finals! We won 3-2 against Scotland . Kapihana, Patariki and Tito were the goal scorers.

Cellphones at school Please be aware that cell phones are not permitted at school. We do understand that children do have their own cell phones or are allowed to use them at home but when at school there is a risk that they may be lost, stolen, or used inappropriately. Not necessarily by the owner but by those around them. If you need to get an urgent message through to your child during school hours the school office is more than happy to pass this on to them. Please phone 2988417 to speak to the school secretary.

Yes I have read the newsletter. Please put my child’s name in the Lucky Draw. Name:_________________________ Room number:_____ _______________________ Parent/Caregiver Monday 20th June
