The South Carolina Education and Development Act (EEDA) allows middle schools to implement an IGP for students in the 8th grade. Parents and students will meet with a counselor to assist with choosing a cluster of study. Students have the right to change their cluster of study at any time. We will discuss possible classes for the freshman year, as well as, your child’s plans for college enrollment. The conference will take approximately thirty minutes. We encourage you to discuss with your child their career interests/goals, academic progress and ambitions prior to coming to the IGP conference. If your child has Mr. Sheffield for Social Studies you will meet with Mrs. Lennon; if they have Ms. Porter for Social Studies you will meet with Mrs. Wallace.
