Susquehanna County CTC Student Built House Project Open House We are pleased to announce that the Open House for our 4th student-built house will be held on December 19, 2017. from 1:00 p.m.– 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome. The house is located at 1911 Hunsinger Road, Springville, PA 18844. Visitors attending the Open House will be given tours by the students that helped construct the home. This will give the students the opportunity to showcase their craftsmanship and hard work to the community. The home that was designed and constructed by the Building Trades students is a vinyl and cultured stone three-bedroom home with 2 –1/2 baths. The project took approximately two full school years to complete. From the setting of the concrete walls for the basement to the finishing work on the custom built staircase students got to experience hands-on all aspects of the building process and experience what a career in the building trades will entail. Dr. Alice M. Davis, Executive Director stated; “This is a great educational opportunity for O r g a n i z a t i o n

students to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom to the work site ”. Students are currently planning and designing the next house project which will break ground in the spring. We look forward to the creativity and details that the students put forth in developing our next project.
