RESPONSIBILITIES: This position requires a strong technology background and an interest in identifying and researching technology and strategies that will serve to enhance teaching and learning with the goal of improving student achievement. The qualified individual for this position will demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to implementing the district’s technology plan, along with the professional development plan, as related to technology. The Technology Integration Specialist will work cooperatively with the Technology Applications Assessment Coordinator, the Director of Technology, building administrator and other district administrators to ensure that the staff is able to utilize technologies for curriculum planning, instruction and assessment. This position will support teachers as they ensure student success in acquiring 21st century learning skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist and support faculty in developing a 1:1 learning environment. • Provide direct support to the classroom educator via coaching or modeling to integrate technology tools and resources to support Blended and Personalized learning. • Consult and collaborate directly with educators and work with students only for the purpose of modeling, demonstrating a lesson or team teaching. • Advise and assist educators to determine what, when and where to integrate appropriate technology tools in the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning. • Model technology use for staff by sharing the vision of integrating technological components into the teaching and learning process. • Develop and arrange a comprehensive professional development program and other relevant adult learning experiences which relate to the use of Blended and Personalized learning to enhance teaching and learning.. • Demonstrate with proficiency various technological teaching tools, including but not limited to Google Apps for Education, interactive touch-screen displays, blended learning playlists and online services, document cameras, mobile devices, etc. • Develop online guides, videos and other web based learning resources. • Diagnose, troubleshoot and model simple problem solving techniques to staff, reports high level technical issues to the Technology Department through SchoolDude. • Understand and demonstrate a basic working knowledge of Chromebooks, Windows, Mac OS X and iPads. • May need to assist with minor computer set-ups and maintenance. • Participate in grant writing activities, as needed. • Will work five (5) days before and five (5) days after the calendar school year as needed. • Any and all other related duties assigned by the Building Administrator, Director of Technology and/or Technology Applications Assessment Coordinator.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: • • • • • •
Certified teacher Bachelor degree Five (5) or more years of relevant, successful teaching experience and demonstrated leadership Familiarity with the iNacol Competencies, ISTE Standards and 21st Century Skills Strong foundation in pedagogy and teaching methodologies Demonstrated success in planning and delivery of instructional technology and integration of technology into daily lesson plans

Specialized training and expertise in providing professional development for teachers in the area of technology Familiarity with Blended and Personalized learning models, applications including Google Apps for Education Ability to provide assistance on first-level technical questions, instructional applications, and software Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work well with others Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States
